Payments setup checklist

Follow these steps in Shopify, then check below that customers can pay.

Checking your shop…

1. Claim your Shopify store
Already done — your 120-day free trial has started.
2. Choose a Shopify plan
Shopify needs a plan selected before it will take real money.

3. Activate Shopify Payments
Go to Settings → Payments → Activate Shopify Payments. Add your business details (ABN or individual), your bank account for payouts, and verify your identity.

4. Set up postage
Settings → Shipping and delivery. Add your postage prices (e.g. standard $10.95, large $14.95, express $18.95, or local pickup).

5. Remove the store password
Online Store → Preferences → untick Password protection, so anyone can check out.

6. Do a test order
Come back here and press “Check again”. When everything is green, buy a $20 box yourself and refund it in Shopify.
